Whale Road Review, a new online journal, has just published its first issue. In addition to some stunning poetry and short prose, the journal publishes reviews and, in their Teachers’ Lounge, brief pedagogy papers detailing exercises for Creative Writing classrooms. My essay “Learning to Throw Away…Or Maybe Not: Writing a Collective Poem to Teach Revision” is one of the three very short pedagogy papers included in this inaugural issue.
